Whatever the reason, I’m glad my old ones are keeping people entertained. Is the 3DS version affecting this somehow? How has the release of a new incompatible version so affected the traffic on the old one? It would make more sense if it were possible to access them on the SMM2, with a wave of players looking for levels while waiting for new ones to be made. Also picked up more stars in a couple days than in the last couple years. Starting on July 3rd, there are higher levels of traffic than I’ve ever seen before. So I'd personally recommend Super Mario Maker 2 because it's the most fun, you can get the most playtime out of it, and you might enjoy making levels yourself. I personally enjoy playing levels that are pretty traditional Mario, but once every while I will play a level with a very low clear rate and just keep going until I beat it. Because there are so many level creators there will always be more than enough levels that you will enjoy. There are so many levels made by people so there is always something to play for you. So far I've put over 150 hours into it and I'm not planning to stop any time soon. Super Mario Maker 2 is really amazing if you ask me. Not to say it's not a fun game but I'd say it's not nearly as fun as Super Mario Maker 2. If you want to 100% the game you can get a lot more playtime out of it but I really didn't enjoy doing that since it's just searching for 3 big golden coins in the levels. ![]() You can beat both the Mario and Luigi modes in like 10 hours if you just play casually. 10, 21 ratings, 26 Red Annihilation tournament, 9 Reddit, 17 round-robins.
